Trying to have a conversation, trying to be seen, trying not to be an afterthought but also not a bother.
Clearly, though, you are tired of me. Tired of my jokes, tired of my attention, tired of my presence in your life.
The more I try, the more tired we both become, but since neither of us seems to know how to say goodbye, we instead continue this same, unending dance of me trying and tiring both of us.
