Відомості Akista (Ki) | The Language Is Love
A safe space to gather: learn, connect, serve community — with joy.
Caring for others & teaching are my callings in life.
I’ve taught amazing students (ages 3-75) from South Korea to China to Senegal, and I wanted to share the warmth in my learning spaces with under-served community too. (Children & women are the priority!)
In 2021, I started my association, The Language Is Love (The LIL, named for my granny Lil). Thus far The LIL efforts have served 1000+ children & 100+ women. Now, everything has expanded faster than I ever expected, while I've navigated a 8-year health crisis simultaneously, & your support gives ease and spreads joy.
Together, we can make a BIG difference with The LIL!
Giving as you feel called (via donations or art purchases from the SHOP) means more resources for:
1. Buying bulk food, clothing, and hygiene items.
2. Supporting local artists who give their time for community workshops and pouring into organizations that also do community work (ex. buying & distributing from Association Des Mamans - a group of women hand-making sustainable menstrual pad kits)
3. Collectively launching a communal, cross-cultural home that prioritizes the safety & well-being of children and women. Bringing together 9 years of my educator work including activities for diverse needs and crafting an eco-outdoor "classroom" / garden + 5 years of The LIL's care efforts (food & clothing initiatives, educational activities, all-ages creative workshops, Dakar Sister Circle women's well-being group, The LIL Bakery's American Southern sweets) -- all in one warm, home-style space !
YOUR SUPPORT IS NECESSARY 💛
*Local supporters receive The LIL Bakery dessert bundles of equivalent value, delivered within 2 months of donating. International supporters receive a custom illustrated print, delivered within 1 month of donating.
