Hot Potato Bot is an interactive Twitch chat game built to boost engagement, create chaotic on-stream moments, and keep viewers involved. Viewers pass the hot potato around chat while the timer ticks down. When it runs out, whoever is holding it receives a Twitch timeout live on stream.

It is designed to create fast, funny stream moments while giving streamers an easy way to manage the bot, game settings, and optional plugins. The bot is actively developed with new features and reliability improvements.

⚠️ Twitch requirement: Your channel must have Channel Points enabled, and Twitch must allow Hot Potato Bot to create and manage custom Channel Points rewards. Affiliate or Partner status is not required if your account has this access. Eligibility is checked when you connect Twitch.

Moderators and Lead Moderators can participate and may be timed out by the game. Twitch currently only allows the bot to automatically restore regular Moderator access. If a Lead Moderator is timed out, the channel owner must manually restore their Lead Moderator role through Twitch’s Roles Manager.
