Warning: this is a brag post 😜

Jul 02, 2026

Summer is officially here, and let's just say it's been anything but laid-back. It's been a season of growth, long days, and exciting milestones.

With everything happening, I felt called to pause for a moment and reflect on some of the goals we've been working towards since the very beginning—goals we're incredibly proud to have achieved. Each one took time, patience, and persistence. Looking back, it's funny how every milestone seemed to fall into place exactly when it was meant to.

🏛️ First big goal: Kombucha lands at Veganaki

When I first had the idea of making kombucha inspired by the flavors of Greece, I had one place in mind: Veganaki.

For those who don't know, Veganaki is a fully vegan Greek restaurant serving what is, without question, the best vegan pastitsio I've ever tasted.

Back in my home-brewing days, I actually reached out to them. Looking back now, I'm so glad it didn't happen then. The timing simply wasn't right.

A little over a year ago, we decided to try our luck again. We went for lunch wearing our matching iconic blue Greek Gut T-shirts, caught the manager's eye, started chatting, and the rest is history.

Today, Veganaki is our top-selling client, and seeing our kombucha there still feels a little surreal.

🛒 Second goal: Seeing our products at Thanopoulos

This one felt like a real long shot.

Thanopoulos is one of Greece's best-known premium supermarkets, with shelves full of carefully selected products from all over Europe. I first visited one back in 2022, wandering the aisles and quietly thinking to myself, One day, our kombucha could be here.

At the time, it felt like a distant dream.

Fast forward three years, and a simple email changed everything. They said yes.

A huge shout-out goes to my business partner, Aggelos, whose persistence made this one happen. I couldn't be prouder to see The Greek Gut sitting on those shelves.

🕊️ Third—and perhaps the most magical—goal: Colibri Spirit Festival

This one was pure serendipity.

If you know me, you'll know that the world of yoga, spirit, community, and living from the heart isn't separate from The Greek Gut—it's the very reason it exists. Choosing to make kombucha was one of the many paths that opened up after I first stepped onto a yoga mat years ago.

I'd been following the Colibri Spirit Festival for several years, always hoping that one day I'd attend. Secretly, I dreamed that maybe—just maybe—they'd serve our kombucha there too.

But this time, I didn't have to send an email or make a phone call.

Instead, the opportunity found us.

A conscious caterer working with the festival discovered The Greek Gut and reached out. One conversation led to another, and before we knew it, we were supplying what became our biggest project to date.

It felt like one of those moments that reminds you that sometimes the things you're chasing are quietly making their way towards you too.

🚐 Bonus (and the cherry on top!)

We finally got a van!

It might not sound as glamorous as the other milestones, but honestly, it's been one of the biggest game changers of all. With how much we've grown this year, it's already proven to be an absolute lifesaver.

That's enough celebrating for one post.

Thank you, as always, for following along and supporting this little dream of ours. We truly couldn't do it without you.

We'll be back soon (hopefully!) with more stories, fresh updates, and plenty more kombucha adventures.

Until next time,

The Greek Gut
