THE ROMAN EMPIRE, roughly 335 pages; Book II EARLY CHRISTIAN THOUGHT roughly 200 pages; Book III THE EARLY MIDDLE AGES roughly 300 pages; Book IV THE TWELFTH CENTURY; and Book V THE THIRTEENTH CENTURY.
Published in 1923, it was a thesis by Lynn Thorndike [1882-1965 ] for the Master's Degree at Columbia Univiersity.
