Hi!

We are Ixchel and Juan Michael, the owners behind The Desert Consulting.

Our work brings together personal coaching, parent and child connection, identity and life transition support, education, main character energy, and business consulting.

Although our individual paths are different, we share one purpose: helping people understand themselves more deeply, move through change with greater clarity, strengthen their relationships, and create lives and work that reflect who they truly are.

Ixchel’s work centers on identity, life transitions, child development, and the relationship between parents and children. She helps people understand how their upbringing, emotions, nervous system, relationships, and life experiences influence the way they see themselves and connect with others.

Juan Michael’s work centers on personal growth, education, life direction, resilience, and helping people move beyond the circumstances, beliefs, or fears that have kept them from pursuing a different future.

Together, we also help individuals and small businesses clarify their direction, communicate their work, and develop the digital systems, websites, funnels, and resources needed to reach the people they are called to serve.

Your contribution helps us continue creating practical resources that people can use in their everyday lives, including educational videos, guided exercises, workbooks, coaching tools, community conversations, workshops, and accessible learning opportunities.

It also supports the time, research, technology, and behind-the-scenes work required to make these resources thoughtful, useful, and available to more people.

We have both experienced seasons of uncertainty, transition, financial limitation, health challenges, personal healing, and the difficult work of building a different life from the one we inherited. Those experiences shape the way we serve. We do not teach from theory alone. We bring our education, professional experience, service, personal growth, and lived understanding into everything we create.
