When Truth Stands Still

When Truth Stands Still

Thursday's Truth – 30 October 2025

✍️ Riaan M. Odendaal

Truth doesn't panic when it is ignored.

It doesn't rush to explain itself, soften its edges, or reposition to stay welcome.

Truth does not audition.

There comes a moment when truth stops moving— not because it has grown weak, but because it has finally taken its rightful place.

And when truth stands still, something remarkable happens:

What is unstable begins to tremble. What is borrowed begins to fade. What was propped up by noise, proximity, or sentiment slowly reveals its own foundations.

Truth doesn't expose by force. It exposes by presence.

We live in a world that rewards flexibility of conscience— where adapting your conviction is seen as maturity, and silence is mistaken for peace.

But real truth is not elastic. It does not bend itself into comfort.

It stands.

And in its stillness, everything around it is quietly separated: the temporary from the eternal, the emotional from the essential, the fleeting from the faithful.

When truth stands still, it does not lose influence— it gains gravity.

It no longer reaches. It no longer persuades.

It simply is.

And that's enough to rearrange everything.
