“The message was true. The tone was not.”
That’s how they dismissed it.
We live in an age where truth has to wear a tuxedo to be heard.
If it shows up blunt, tired, angry, or unpolished — they label it unworthy.
Not because it’s wrong, but because it didn’t sound nice.
The delivery didn’t tick the boxes.
It came from the wrong mouth.
Used the wrong words.
Broke the rules of polite dissent.
And so we silence the broken voices.
The rough ones. The raw ones.
The ones too weary to wrap pain in poetry.
We elevate the curated echo
while ignoring the cry from the edge.
But history doesn’t care how the warning sounded.
It only cares that we heard it — or didn’t.
Some truths whisper.
Some arrive on horseback.
Some bang on the gate.
Ignore them because of the tone?
That’s not discernment. That’s ego.
The world is noisy, yes.
But when truth speaks —
even in the wrong voice —
listen.
Be the lighthouse. Hold the line. Keep the legacy burning.
