What are your thoughts on style? ✍️
Below I had used a tree as my subject and decided to see how many different methods would work to portray it.
From there I took one that I liked the most and decided to ink it. Secret here is that I usually always ink by hand, so I print out the image then use a brush pen or some other type of inking tool to convert the lines into ink.
Solids and Gradients then get applied:
Shadows and highlights applied to give it more of a structured look. I also like to use textured brushes, it just seems to bring it to life more.
I then go into playing with background imagery and seeing how this adds to the structure of the image:
We finally arrive at our final image which I like to think of it as a mix between painting and drawing.
