Does anyone care if Stranger Things is split into three parts these days?

With the rumour that Stranger Things season five is going to be released in three parts over six months, I have to ask if anyone cares? The last season was released in 2022 which means by the time season five has aired all episodes (by January 2026) it’s going to around four years between the two seasons. In this day and age that’s an eternity. I think most people who were fans have moved on, I mean who can wait around for eight episodes. I myself gave up after season three. Netflix seem desperate at this point and they don’t seem to have enough new content to keep people engaged and have to resort to splitting eight episodes into three parts even if the episodes are going to be longer runtimes. To me it shows that not only is Netflix dying, the whole streaming boom is dying.
