So, it would appear my activity here is sporadic at best. I do try to keep some semblance of regularity, but much like the human body, sometimes its more regular than others. I'll leave the meaning of that to the interpretation of the reader. To be fair, I do look at this page often, but don't always feel I have something meaningful to contribute, so I don't end up clicking the 'post+' button. There has also been the occasion where I thought I may have something worth writing, only to scrap it and either delete it word by word or just scrap whatever I may in the process of writing. It reminds me a bit of a creative writing assignment in school except that the grade ends up being the 'like' button and I don't have to get up and read it to the whole class.
There are things I could write about that are relevant, like the Memorial Day that just passed, or the change in the weather that have many of us looking for outdoor activities instead of being stuck inside reading blogs on the internet, (or for that matter writing them). Doing that seems more planned and predictable though and for some reason it seems a little fake for a forum like this.
It's certainly not that I have an issue with anyone choosing those subjects, and as I look at the words that I have been arranging I have been thinking of why I might not have gone that route, but when I sat down to write, the thought that occurred to me was, 'Nah, everyone writes about that'. Maybe sometimes what I should do is just apply Occum's Razor. I need to stop trying to apply unnecessarily duplicated effort and realize that sometimes the easiest answer is the solution, or more familiarly stated, 'sometimes the simplest solution is the best one'. There is no harm in writing about what others write about, after all, its popular because people like to read it.
