So, you may have heard, I bought a house. Well, I bought a house four years ago, but I mention it again because recently my AC went out. Without Doxing myself, I live in a climate that benefits greatly from not only the cooling, but the dehumidifying part of a Central Air System. A bit of warm, is fine. Walking around after a shower where you can't actually dry off, is a bit of a pain, sorry for any visual image that created,
I could panic, get upset, or worry, but first of all, I don't need to, second, it won't solve anything. Instead, I reached out to my resources, got things scheduled, then hunkered down for the days of discomfort. There have been more pleasant days, but there have been quite a few that have been worse. I could try to be sage and say that everything is a matter of perspective, but that doesn't make it any more comfortable to sleep.
Taking ownership means being responsible for it. A new roof, a ripped-up patio, failing appliances and an AC that craps out are all part of it. The patio, by the way was courtesy of a hurricane. Yes, those do real damage. The large oak tree that fell in my back yard was also fun to deal with, but it will eventually make things better. okay, it will be about the same with less shade, but a lot less leaves to clean out of gutters. Yes, real thing.
I'm writing all of this to simply remind whomever may be reading that life is full of challenges, some are easy, some we can walk away from, and still others will kick our butt. We have to decide if we are bigger than the challenge, or if we are willing to take something on we don't know if we can handle. Man, it sure is satisfying when you meet an unknown and come out on top.
Don't be afraid of something you may not know, or something you have doubts about. You may be able to do more than you think you can.
