Sumatran-coffee infused art & essays for old-world modern thinkers
Hey, there- I'm Thalia. I came from the lands of near-extinct Sumatran tigers and coffee beans. At one point, I used to map food halls in the desert & restore 15,000+ square feet town halls.
Now, I just want to be around people who believe everyone should call the shots on how they live.
No matter where they're from and where they've been.
So I create original art, essays, and podcasts for those who also want to live a seaworthy life, their way.
-
But I need your help.
-
Mostly to keep my eyes open every week (which is proving super hard at 4:30 AM). So that I can:
> Sort through 2,478-words to talk things like how our frozen past has something to say.
> Pore through 280-inch square feet of art every week, like this one I made to talk about what it's like to be last in America.
> Source hours upon hours of audio-stories from faraway lands and hidden voices, like those of the sherpa of the 29,000 feet-high Everest, who made this chemistry teacher's dream a reality.
-
Sometimes I wish I had more waking hours to do more for everyone.
-
But you buying me a coffee (the beans of which I'll be sure to source from my ancestral land), will help keep my eyes peeled.
It will also support the story of these faceless coffee farmers who, if they ever get to see you in person, will wrap you with their hand-woven cloth, serve you the best cut of the village meal, put their hands on their heart, look up to you, and thank you in their native tongue with a hoarse, "Horas!"
THAT is the beating soul of how I'd like to thank you. Because thank you just doesn't seem enough. But extending these farmers' thanks, might just be.
Thank you and Horas, for Buying Me A (Sumatran) Coffee here.
