Hi, I'm Julia, and I'm a freelance photographer based in Liverpool in northwest England. Some of you may know me as Tetisheri, and I photograph ancient Egyptian artefacts and people working in the museums and archaeology sector, as well as exploring and photographing local heritage and culture.

Why am I here?

Despite having spent several years photographing artefacts professionally, the woefully under-financed museums just don't have the money to keep me earning a year-round salary. I do what I do either at a vastly reduced rate or for free so that I can continue to support the museums I work with.Your support on Buy Me a Coffee means that I can keep making photographs without having to wait for a museum to win a funding bid for an exhibition. It means that I can:

- photograph artefacts for museums who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford professional photography

- keep documenting the amazing work of curators, conservators and archaeologists

- help raise awareness of the joy of visiting and supporting heritage wherever you may live

- help you learn to use photography as a creative hobby for your own wellbeing

- publish my work by creating a book of photographic highlights each year, as well as occasional, more comprehensive project-based books

- do all those boring things like eat and pay my bills

It also allows me to work flexibly to support my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which limits how often I can leave the house. Being able to go out with my camera two or three times a month, then spend the rest of the time working from home means I can get the most out of my time to bring my photography to you.
