Lapáncsa is located on the verge of one of the finest wine regions of Hungary and although the area is booming, this tiny village, being practically a cul-de-sac, is lacking initiatives and jobs. By establishing and running a Teapot Museum we are attracting visitors and tourists to the village and we'd like to think that we can make this cute little village more widely known.

This not-for-profit project has so far been funded privately. We already have about 200 teapots and we have refurbished the building that hosts the showroom.

The founders have published a children’s book called Mouse Tales and all their profits of the book have been invested into the Teapot Museum. The collection has been open and regularly visited since August 2022.

We can proudly say that we have the local council’s support.
