Greetings my dear friends. I am Teague, an artist enjoying his artist journey. Art, to me, is a dialogue—a daily check-in with my inner self. Inspired by the great Chase Gentry, whose art and heart encourage me every day, and by the vibrant essence and style of Cody Tarantino, who first showed me that my style has worth. I am also moved by the expressive authenticity of Maggi Hambling and the immersive storytelling of G.W. 'Skip' Mercier, my dear friend and mentor. I embark on a daily drawing journey that celebrates each step in my artistic evolution. Hambling's wise words resonate deeply: 'If you’re going to be an artist, you’ve got to make your work your best friend. You can go to it if you’re feeling sad, you’re feeling bored, you’re feeling tired, you’re feeling randy. Whatever you’re feeling, go to your work and have a conversation with it.' This idea—that art should be one's closest confidant, present in every mood and moment—echoes in my studio, where every line, shade, and texture is a word in an ongoing conversation with my canvas.

Reading 'The Magical Yet' to my daughter underscored the incremental nature of progress and the capacity of art to grow alongside the artist. My works are daily entries in a visual journal, where 'yet' is not a limitation but a promise of the strokes yet to come.
