My name is Matt and I have two degrees.

Thanks for visiting my coffee shop OR maybe I should say thank you for joining my MATT Tea Party!

I’m a digital creator with no specific niche, so I like to compare my content to a great cup of tea: a blend of Disney, Shakespeare, Film History and Funko Pops with a dash of travel vlogs and a splash of unboxing videos!

I create silly, educational and *slightly* pretentious video essays!

Two of my greatest passions are Disney and Shakespeare, and my content is all about proving that Disney isn’t just for kids and that Shakespeare isn’t just for scholars.

My YouTube Channel is my special place to talk pretentiously about fun and nerdy fandoms with my droid companion, R2-1O. I focus on producing video essays because I love digging into the histories and backstories surrounding my favourite movies, plays and Disney park attractions. I also use the channel to host the Teacup For One Movie Club: a monthly themed movie marathon, and the occasional interactive trivia night where anyone and everyone can play along at home on their smartphones!

I am also a toy photographer!

My Instagram page is where I celebrate my love of Funkos through photography. I started collecting in 2018, and now have over 300 Funko Pops in my collection! I love toy photography as a means of sharing my collection, but it’s also an amazing creative outlet. As a filmmaker, I’m always striving to learn more about visual storytelling and toy photography has been an incredible teacher!

I keep forgetting, but I’m also a filmmaker.

I’ve been self producing short films and online content for over ten years. In 2020 I produced a full length adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” on my YouTube channel called #Scrooge, which was a digital reimagining of the classic ghost story…I like to say my inspiration was Charles Dickens meets Black Mirror. I am hoping to produce some more original content on the channel this year…stay tuned…
