I am a highly experienced and dedicated neonatologist with over two decades of progressive clinical practice across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. My career is distinguished by a commitment to clinical excellence, procedural expertise, and medical education.
Career History
· United Kingdom (2020 – Present): I currently hold a position as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neonatology at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, a leading tertiary care university hospital. This unit provides comprehensive cardiac and surgical support, including an on-site ECMO service. In this role, I manage complex cases from 22 weeks gestation, lead resuscitations, and utilize advanced modalities including HFOV, iNO, and therapeutic hypothermia. I was recognized with the University Hospitals of Leicester Educator Award for my contributions to teaching and mentoring junior colleagues. I am also actively involved in international clinical research, gaining experience in patient recruitment and randomization.
· Saudi Arabia (2007 – 2020): I spent over a decade building my expertise in the Saudi healthcare system. I was promoted to Acting Consultant Neonatologist at the Maternity and Children's Hospital (MCH) in Buraydah, a high-volume tertiary care center. My tenure there was marked by several leadership initiatives, including establishing the hospital's first ER fast-track clinic and a pioneering home-visit program for chronic and home-TPN patients. I am also a seasoned instructor for both Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), having been frequently invited to instruct courses across the country and internationally.
