When war in Ukraine started, we wondered what we can do to help animals and their humans in this vulnerable situation. We contacted several organisations in hopes to be able to immediately start delivering humanitarian aid to animal shelters in affected areas.
We did not find what we were looking for. So we started an initiative ourselves.
It is time for the next generation of non-profits. In the times of war, we can not afford the luxury of long decision making processes and bureaucracy. We approach our challenges in a creative and agile way - to deliver help where it is needed the most.
We are Paws of Peace. We work closely with the Ukrainian Embassy in Stockholm and other non-profit organisations, as well as have an ongoing direct contact with animal shelters still operational in Ukraine. We send humanitarian aid to crisis centres in Ukraine and also directly to animal shelters - when possible.
