Offri un caffè a talhakhalid

Hey 👋 it’s Talha.

I build things, run a homelab, and spend way too much time around technology. I started this as a blog, but these days everything lives here: notes, experiments, projects, half-broken ideas, engineering rabbit holes, and the occasional thing that actually turns into something useful.

My interests go well beyond software. I write about Linux, networking, homelabs, servers, hardware, engineering, embedded systems, algorithms, and the systems that sit underneath the things we use every day.

Do I fake reviews? I must be making millions? Check here: buymeacoffee.com/talhakhalid101/gallery/5191693

A lot of the hardware and systems I review are things I actually use in my own projects. Though in most cases, I build the systems for others, test them in real environments, and sell them. That is a big part of why I care about getting the numbers, benchmarks, performance figures, and limitations right.

I am not reviewing something because a specification sheet looked impressive. I want to know what happens when you actually build with it, run it, break it, optimize it, and live with it. That also means you will sometimes see reviews that are a little more critical than a typical product page. If something is great, I will tell you why. If something has a stupid design decision, disappointing performance, or a limitation that could cost you money later, I will point that out too. The goal is to make the review useful if you are actually considering buying or building something.

If anything here helps you and you have a spare dollar, you can buy me a coffee. I deliberately kept it at $1 because most people reading this are probably fellow tech folks, and we are not exactly swimming in cash especially post COVID.

You can also support the site by buying something through the links in my articles. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase or that product or anything else. It does not increase the price you pay. You pay the same price you normally would, while a small portion of the purchase helps support the time and hardware that go into testing, building, benchmarking, and writing these reviews.

You do not have to buy anything, though. If you are broke, just passing through, or simply found something useful, a like or a random comment helps too. Most people read something and disappear into the internet. I get it. I do the same thing. Still, it is nice to know someone was actually here!
