My name is Sylvia (or Sylv), and I’m a 33-year-old makeup content creator from Toronto, Canada. I began my journey with makeup in 2015, around the time I was navigating symptoms of depression, contamination OCD, and anxiety. Makeup quickly became more than a creative outlet — it became a form of healing.

Through my content, I share not only my love for makeup, but also my experiences with mental health, grief, and navigating life with POTS. In 2021, I lost my older brother to COVID-19 — one of the most painful and life-altering moments I’ve ever faced. His strength and belief in me continue to guide everything I do, and this dream I’m pursuing is deeply connected to him.

I speak openly about these parts of my life because I want others to know they’re not alone. Even in the darkest moments, there is light — and sometimes, it comes from the smallest spark of self-expression.

Makeup empowers me to explore creativity, build courage, and connect with others who are also finding their way through healing. My hope is that my content inspires you to follow your passions, embrace who you are, and never give up on yourself.
