Hi, My name is Steph and I'm 8 years sober and a survivor of human trafficking. From 16-33 I was "chronically homeless". I found a way to pick myself up by the bootstraps, but sometimes bootstraps break. Im fighting to save my 1 bedroom house in the mountains of Western Maine, and the dream is to build tiny homes on the property for other survivors and their children.

Donating to me goes directly to helping me save this property, as I need to secure a $120k mortgage ASAP. House has 100% equity so also hoping for a miracle, angel investor, a lender or lawyer sees this and wants to help us.With a safe place to thrive and grow, they'll be able to save money, build their credit scores, and eventually find their own forever home.

Imagine being a child of DV, living in a shelter with your mom. It's chaotic, there are people crying, you're sharing a room with strangers, its so loud you can barely process the trauma you left. One day your mom tells you that she found somewhere amazing for you. As you pull down the long driveway and hear the crickets, you can see every single star in the sky, the breeze hits your little cheeks, fresh air FEELS right. Your mom points to the cutest house you've ever seen, it hits you..THATS OURS?! When you pull up in front of your tiny new home, it feels like you're wrapped in a big hug. You know you're safe here. Its JUST for you and your mom. Nothing bad can get to you here. There's a stuffy waiting for you on your bed, and snacks in the kitchen, and its ALL YOURS. THIS IS MY DREAM.
