I received some good news this week and I wanted to share with all of you.
Last Saturday the Tri-State Arts Association held a jury session last Saturday. Along with some critique of your work, a high enough score would allow you join the organization. Among the perks of membership is participation in Art in the Park event held at Ritter Park, a long time staple of Huntington life.
I dropped of my artwork Saturday morning at the art studios behind the Huntington Museum of Art. We had to leave so that the jurying could be done anonymously. I picked up my artwork later and informed that I'll receive the critiques and word on membership via USPS soon.
A few anxious days later on Thursday I received this:
I'm in! It seems like a small thing but I'm really kind of excited. The pics I had I juried follow:
