The company Nebius, which provides infrastructure solutions for artificial intelligence (AI) developers, has released an updated report on its development and future plans. Despite its startup status, Nebius demonstrates ambitious goals.

Key Business Areas

Nebius operates in four key business areas:

  • Nebius AI – Cloud solutions for AI, based on a Finnish data center previously owned by Yandex.

  • Toloka – A data processing platform designed to meet the needs of artificial intelligence.

  • Tripleten – Educational technologies aimed at markets in the U.S., Latin America, and Israel.

  • Avride – Development of autonomous vehicles and robotic delivery solutions.

These areas showcase the company’s diversification and its ambition to establish a strong presence across various market segments.

Infrastructure Expansion

Nebius is actively investing in expanding its infrastructure. The company has tripled its data capacity in Finland, launched a new data center in France, and has begun working on its first cluster in Kansas City, U.S. The deployment of new H200 GPUs and preparations for the introduction of the next-generation Blackwell B200 and GB200 hardware in 2025 indicate significant investments in technological advancement.

Financial Performance

Despite rapid growth, Nebius’ financial results remain mixed. Over the past year, the company generated revenue of $118 million.

However, EBITDA losses amounted to $266 million, while net income was negative at -$397 million.

Capital expenditures (Capex) for 2024 reached $0.8 billion, and these costs are expected to rise to $1.5 billion in 2025.

Nevertheless, Nebius’ management remains confident in the company’s future success. The leadership highlights the busy fourth quarter of 2024, which saw the start of trading on NASDAQ and the establishment of partnerships with NVIDIA. Additionally, the company secured $700 million in investments from major firms such as Nvidia, Accel, and Orbis, providing substantial financial backing.

Forecasts and Expectations

Based on signed contracts, management expects ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) to reach at least $220 million by March 2025. By December 2025, ARR is projected to increase to a range of $750–$1,000 million. This estimate aligns with the company’s goal of achieving 100 MW capacity by the end of 2025, with a potential expansion to 300 MW.

Stock Valuation

Nebius’ market capitalization stands at $7.1 billion, with shares priced at approximately $30.17. This valuation is not considered cheap. The P/S ratio is 60.5, while the P/BV ratio is 2.2. Some analysts set a target price of $50 per share, but purchasing may only be justified at prices below this level.

Conclusion

Nebius represents a classic venture-backed company with high risks and potential rewards. The difficulty in assessing future performance makes investing in this company highly speculative but potentially very profitable.
