The intro pattern below is on the ride cymbal (groovescribe notates rides in a weird way- sorry about that!) The same pattern is also used for the chorus. The drum fill at the end is open to interpretation so feel free to mess around with your own way of concluding the 4 bar phrase.

The verse pattern provides interest with the displaced snare drum moved from beat 4 to the '&' of 3. Once you've got the hang of this, try including the open hi-hat on the '&' of 3 as well.
