Hello and welcome to the page that complements my YouTube channel @stevenslanguagevlog.
My name is Steven and I've been learning languages my entire life. From my childhood in Canada where we learned French and Ukrainian, to university for the study of Latin and Ancient Greek, to my travels around the world which would finally put me in China and, by extension, learning Mandarin Chinese.
Sounds impressive. So how many languages do you speak?
To be really honest, only one: English. But I guess I also have to admit that I can speak Mandarin Chinese as I have made a few videos about my abilities to date. Some say it's good, some say it's bad, but what I do know is that it still requires work. And it's this language learning journey that I can say I have picked up some good ways and some bad ways of learning another language.
