I'm an IT geek by profession, but outside my paid job, I do a lot of voluntary work, particularly with relation to astronomy, where I hold unpaid positions as Curator of Instruments at Stardome Observatory and Auckland Astronomical Society (the largest astronomical organisation in New Zealand).  I also dabble with Ham Radio - my callsign is ZL1STE and am most usually found on FT8.

I feel that promoting astronomy and radio is a way I can give back to the community and I don't get paid for most of the work I do.  Like most geeks, I do drink coffee though, so If you'd like to support me then it's really appreciated!
