Your chart is divided into twelve sections called houses, and each house covers one area of your life:
The first house is about you and how you present yourself.
The second is about money and what you value.
The third covers communication and your immediate surroundings.
The fourth is home and family.
The fifth is creativity, romance, and children.
The sixth is daily work and health.
The seventh is partnership and marriage.
The eighth is shared resources and transformation.
The ninth is travel, education, and belief.
The tenth is career and public life.
The eleventh is friendship and community.
The twelfth is the inner life, the unconscious, and what stays hidden.
Every planet in your chart occupies one of these houses, so, for instance, when you know that Mars is in your tenth house, you know that your drive shows up most in your career, and when you know that the moon is in your fourth, you know that your feelings are tied to home.
