A proposito di Stand Tall Strength and Wellbeing
Not just talking about mental health, we are doing something about it
You’re not really buying us a coffee. What you’re buying is a little bit of time in the venues we use so we can keep doing what we’re doing.
Your donation goes towards the practical costs of running Stand Tall — things like room hire and gym space. In simple terms, it goes from you → into the pot → towards keeping our sessions running.
No salaries. No fancy overheads. No hidden costs.
You don’t need us to tell you that male suicide is a problem. You don’t need us to tell you that looking after your mental health and wellbeing matters. You don’t need us to tell you that, in a world full of people, many men still feel lonely, isolated or unsure where to turn.
We wanted to do something practical about it.
Why did we start Stand Tall?
Back in 2022, two dads from Barry — one a mental health nurse, the other a CrossFit and weightlifting coach — were watching their kids play football.
We had a simple thought: What if we combined the benefits of exercise, connection and actually learning something useful about mental health and wellbeing?
So we did.
Stand Tall Strength & Wellbeing is a not-for-profit social enterprise built around that idea.
We now run free men’s meet-ups, coached gym sessions, psychoeducation and wellbeing support in our local community. We talk about things like anxiety, low mood, sleep, stress, confidence, relationships, habits and coping — but we also give men somewhere to turn up, have a chat, train and be around other people.
No big campaign. No motivational fluff. Just practical support, connection and useful information.
Where does your donation go?
If you buy us a coffee — or two — the money goes straight back into keeping Stand Tall running.
It helps us pay for the rooms, gym space and basic running costs that allow us to keep sessions free for the men who attend.
Whether it is £5, £10 or £20, it genuinely helps buy us a little more time to keep the doors open.
We’re still just two local guys trying to do something useful in our community.
If you want to know more about what we do, get in touch. And if you ever want to know where the money goes, just ask.
Stand Tall. Speak up. Keep turning up.
