Rivalry tied at three

LG got three outs with one hit in the top of the second inning to take a 2-1 lead against the KT Wiz in the first game of the 2023 Baseball Korea Series (KS) at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Nov. 7.
With runners on first and second and nobody out, LG's Moon Sang-chul hit a bunt in front of the plate that was caught by catcher Park Dong-won and fired to shortstop Oh Ji-hwan, who dropped into third base coverage, forcing out second baseman Jang Jang-woo.
Oh then quickly threw to first base to catch Moon at the plate.
Meanwhile, the runner at first base, Choi Byeong-dae, raced past second base to third, and LG second baseman Shin Min-jae, who was in first base coverage, threw to third to tag out Choi Byeong-dae.
LG turns a triple play, but the heart is already in the right place

LG quickly got three outs to end the threat of runners on first and second with no outs.
This is only the second time in history that a triple play has occurred in KS, the other being Game 7 on October 29, 2004. The Hyundai Unicorns tripled off the Samsung Lions' Yang Jun-hyuk in the top of the first inning.
It was the fourth triple in the postseason. On October 4, 2003, the SK Wyverns hit a triple in the seventh inning of Game 1 of the semi-final playoffs against Samsung.
The most recent came in the second inning of Game 3 of the Semifinals on October 22, 2018. The Nexen Heroes (now Kiwoom) tripled off the Hanwha Eagles' Kim Hoe-sung. 슬롯
