Korean Air head coach Tommi Tilikainen earned the honor of becoming the first foreign head coach to win a men's regular season match in the Korean Professional Volleyball V League.
Korean Air swept OK Financial Group 3-0 (25-20 26-24 25-15) in straight sets in the men's home leg of the Pro Volleyball Dodram 2023-2024 V League at Gyeyang Gymnasium in Incheon on Sunday.
OK Financial Group is led by head coach Ogino Massa.
Tilikainen and Ogino first met in the Group A qualifiers of the Gumi Professional Volleyball Cup last August, where Tilikainen's Korean Air won in straight sets 3-2.
In the first matchup of the regular season, it was Korean Air coach Tilikainen who emerged victorious.
Korean Air, which is looking to win the overall title for the fourth consecutive season (first place in the regular season and the championship), finished the first round with 13 points (4-2) and third place after winning three straight games.
