2024 Presidential National Badminton Championships
The Korea Badminton Association announced on the 4th that it successfully held the 2024 Presidential National Badminton Championships.
This competition, held in Busan for two days starting on the 2nd, was held as a ministerial event under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the past 30 years, but was upgraded to a presidential event for the first time this year.
With 6,120 club members participating, the overall championship went to the Busan Metropolitan City Badminton Association.
Next year, the elite division (elementary, middle, high school, college, general division) will be held as the Gyeonggi Province Presidential Competition.
Kim Taek-gyu, president of the Korea Badminton Association, said, “It is still not as good as before the coronavirus, but as it was upgraded to the presidential level, it was a competition with a lot of interest from amateurs.” 사설토토
