Smell your coffee, slurp your coffee, enjoy the taste. Feel the warmth of the cup in your hands and take in the color that promises the wished‑for joy of the moment. Use all your senses to be here and now.

imageI would like to share with you the ongoing journey of understanding and embracing the inner self.

My own deep dive began more than a year ago, bringing me so many new insights that I can no longer keep them within. It is this feeling of overflow that creates a natural wish to share. Never thinking I would write a book, my ideas of what should be included in order to present the whole puzzle expanded to two books... then three... the latest prognosis shows four.

I must acknowledge that it is only thanks to God for my (effort to) honestly lived life, trying to understand and make sense of everything that ever happened to me, both within and around me. With my medical, spiritual, and social background, my whole life has been one huge, complex mental adventure. Heavily misconceived, yet still dynamic, with always something going on. So when the circle of misconception was broken, I had an enormous amount of material to reprocess, reintegrate, and build a new image from scratch.

I am amazed every day by this process, by the new connections and beautiful insights about the core of the human being and its natural unfolding... into the Spiral.

The first part of the Spiral explores the foundational dimensions of human experience — body, mind, society, and spirit — alongside an initial encounter with the core self.

Chapter I: EMOTIONS
Emotions are our deepest guides, revealing the unseen landscapes of mind, body, and spirit. This chapter explores the origins of emotional life—mental, somatic, and spiritual—and the intricate ways our feelings communicate both hidden trauma and inner truths. From grief and fear to anger, guilt, and abandonment, each emotion is framed as a vital, biological signal, not to be suppressed but understood. Through attentive listening and patient surrender, the reader is invited to witness how emotional energy transforms, how nervous system regulation unfolds, and how healing emerges through presence, solitude, and profound engagement with the self.

Chapter II: BODY
The body is the vessel through which life, mind, and spirit unfold—a sacred, intricate system whose language is both primal and profound. This chapter explores the body as a living archive of experience, a transmitter of mind and spirit, and the primary stage where healing manifests. From basic biological signals to subtle sensations and chronic tension, the reader is guided to listen deeply, distinguish the sources of bodily expression, and respond with respect and conscious care. Through attentive observation, deliberate action, and embodied practices—breathing, movement, and mindful presence—the chapter illustrates how the body becomes both teacher and healer, revealing the interconnectedness of all dimensions and the essential path to holistic self‑knowledge.

Chapter III: MIND
The mind structures our perception, interprets reality, and directs responses. It operates on conscious, subconscious, and automatic levels, each influencing behavior, emotion, and bodily states. Trauma shows how unprocessed experiences embed in subconscious and automatic patterns, shaping reactions beyond awareness. Healing begins with mindful observation—distinguishing thoughts, impulses, and habits—and integrating top-down and bottom-up approaches. Through careful attention, acceptance, and presence, the mind gradually aligns with body and spirit. This process is not about fixing, but witnessing and harmonizing inner layers, cultivating awareness, responsiveness, and a shared sense of safety and equilibrium.

Chapter IV: SOCIETY
The social dimension influences our lives, yet it remains partly beyond our direct control. Its lessons unfold through family, friendships, and intimate relationships, reflecting our fears, desires, and boundaries. Safe relationships provide mirrors for self-understanding, showing where we accept, resist, or project. Romantic connections are potent teachers, forcing integration of the ‘other’ while preserving internal stability. Friendships offer safer spaces to observe, learn, and attune. Communication and acts of care foster mutual understanding and support. Ultimately, social experiences reflect our inner state, but the final responsibility for self-awareness, acceptance, and integration remains within each individual.

Chapter V: SPIRIT
The spiritual dimension reflects the spirit’s longing for self-transcendence and true identity. Spirituality is the practice of attending to this inner call, stepping beyond ego, and entering a broader, transcendent reality. It permeates all other dimensions, guiding mind, body, and social relations. Spiritual fulfilment arises not from external conditions, but from conscious engagement with our inner longing, through humility, observation, and openness. Each spirit experiences this uniquely, yet all share the same innate drive toward wholeness. Attending to spirituality harmonizes our being, enabling integration of mind, body, and life into freedom, love, and truth.

Chapter VI: I
The I is the core self—the silent witness, source of free will, and axis of conscious life. This chapter explores its nature, how it is obscured by trauma, and how it can be reclaimed through presence, attention, and alignment with mind, body, and spirit. The I is not reducible to thought, memory, or brain activity; it perceives, guides, and integrates. Through observing the mind’s narratives, the body’s sensations, and the spirit’s longing, the reader learns to recognize the enduring self beneath conditioning. Healing arises as the layers that obscure the luminous, authentic identity dissolve, revealing agency, freedom, and wholeness.
