Hey, I'm AJ. I'm a software developer with a Navy background in systems and network engineering, and I build tools that give people the numbers other sites leave out.

The latest full release is Sounding (sounding.report). Enter an address and a price, and you get the true monthly cost of a San Diego home: property tax, Mello-Roos, insurance, HOA, VA and FHA and conventional side by side, the cash to close, and the supplemental tax bill that shows up months after you move in. It also pulls flood, fire, seismic, and tsunami zones plus schools, transit, and county crime data. Every figure links back to the county, FEMA, HUD, or CAL FIRE record it came from, so you can check my work.

Before Sounding I built cmd-overwatch, an MIT-licensed self-healing agent for automation fleets, and I run a Wazuh SIEM home lab that keeps my detection work honest.

Sounding is free to run and carries no ads today. One coffee a month keeps it online. Five keep it ad-free. That is the whole budget, and I would rather it come from people who used the tool than from a display network tracking them across the rest of the internet.
