Somewhere between secondary school and poly, I thought business was about having a nice name card and a cool-sounding business name. Many of my friends thought the same. We would sit around sketching logos, choosing fonts, and feeling proud once we found a name that sounded professional. We thought we had arrived : )
But that was just the illusion of progress. The real work only begins when we act.
Over time, I learned that motion matters more than polish. Clarity doesn’t come before action, it comes through action. You can spend weeks thinking and planning, but the moment you take a small step, things start to make sense.
It’s the same truth we see in Scripture. In the parable of the talents, the master didn’t reward the one who waited. He rewarded the ones who acted with what they already had. Faithfulness in motion always multiplies what has been entrusted to you.
Even Solomon’s story shows this. When he asked for wisdom, he wasn’t starting from zero. His upbringing had shaped his heart to value the right things, enough to ask wisely when it mattered. That simple act of asking revealed readiness, and God added more.
So if you have been waiting for the perfect plan or the right moment, maybe it is time to move. Faith does not grow by thinking longer, it grows by acting sooner.
