This is a Synopsis of the YCR Introduction

Before settling on this style of storytelling, which is often called Flash Fiction, I tried a few different things with my writing and my podcast, which is called Smell the Inside of Your Nose.Do it Right Now. This was a series of stories, written over the course of determining a preferred creative writing outlet.

I actually have some things bouncing around upstairs now. At 60 there is some experience and a lot of reflection. When I was young, my writing wasn’t about much. I didn’t have any experience to draw from. My writing was about immediate experiences, not long years of reflection.

Song lyrics, for example, were about hikes, star gazing, dreams, rarely the angst of youth. Some of it was about the writings of older, experienced people who had already lived. Literature references littered my verses because I didn’t know anything. I have actual thoughts now. Sometimes writing is one part of the mind trying to explain what the conscious mind is not aware of yet. Flash Fiction can be good for that. Regardless, it’s always fun.
