I am a textile artist and a writer. I make drawings, collages and quilts using embroidery and a variety of textile techniques. I love to stitch by hand and use traditional embroidery and darning techniques and work with pre-loved, gifted & thrifted fabrics.

I've been writing a weekly Sunday Substack since the beginning of 2025 - my slow, quiet notes. These notes can range from an update about my work to exhibitions I've seen, links to other textile artists' work and lists of useful materials and resources. I write about my creative practice, my in-person teaching and I'm working on a series of online workshops and events which I hope to launch soon.

I've been inspired by other writers and makers on Substack to offer my work and writing on a 'pay as you can' basis (without a paywall) and the idea of buying me a coffee (or threads, in my case) would seem to be a very good option.
