But today’s topic is not just one of the most haunted structures, it’s one of the most haunted seas in the world. Surrounding a remote atoll in Micronesia is a graveyard of automobiles, planes, and ships; the victims of a massive battle during World War II. Called the “Ghost Fleet of Chuuk Lagoon,” these wrecks are not only one of the most popular and iconic dives. Allegedly, they are haunted by the ghosts of the Japanese and American Naval soldiers who lost their lives in the conflict. Divers claim to have seen ghostly apparitions in the wreckage. Some even claim to have encountered phantom divers that follow them as they traverse the rusting husks.
