Episode 101: The Mothman Prophecies Part 2 - The Flatwoods Monster

Matt, Katie, and EJ continue their investigation of Mothman. We dial back to 1950 and the foundation of the International Flying Saucer Bureau, under the direction of Albert Bender. The IFSB's West Virginia representative is Gray Barker, a paranormal investigator with a keen sense of humor and a love of science fiction. When a mysterious object crashes in Flatwoods, West Virginia, Barker is on the scene. But his investigation is distorted and rewritten by pulp magazine publisher Raymond Palmer, punched up to sell zines. As Barker embraces more science fiction instead of science fact, his reporting becomes even more outrageous, leading to the creation of one of the most famous cryptids in history.  slayingmonsterspodcast.com Become a supporter:  supporters.slayingmonsterspodcast.com Slaying Monsters merch:  slayingmonsterspodcast-shop.fourthwall.com Pre-order Ana Must Die (Again) by EJ Green: https://zandoprojects.com/books/ana-must-die-again-paperback
