Hi, and thanks for thinking about dropping a coffee on the scribe desk at Skyscript!
Skyscript has been supporting astrologers and easing the needs of astro-students for over 20 years, without a commercial angle, and unsupported by any kind of grant, investment, or organisational support.
Unlike many of the 'hobbyist-labour-of-love/information-based websites' created when the web was new (which have now largely disappeared, having been swallowed up by the commercials), Skyscript survived by keeping costs extremely low, and not worrying about generating an income from what was essentially a creative endeavour.
However, modern technology moves fast, and the demands of keeping abreast of new standards has become expensive. Major development is needed to preserve Skyscript's presence on the web and protect its long-term future. Any support you can give to help the cleaners clear up the dusty corners and the scribes scribble away new content is tremendously appreciated!! A coffee would be lovely :)
