If you enjoy this video, please consider treating me to a cup or two of coffee. It takes many days to create these videos, PLUS the hike, and I don't make a penny off YouTube, so your show of support really means a lot and helps to cover the costs incurred in the creation of these videos. Thanks in advance for your show of support.
Sheets Gulch is located along the Waterpocket Fold, which is part of Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. There didn't use to be a trailhead for this when I first started coming out here about 15-years ago, one had to count the number of washes along the dirt road to find the right wash. However, these days it has a real trailhead sign and can be found online far too easily, so I won't bother giving you coordinates. As with most of these places now, All-Trails and Google will get you there. Just be warned that Google and All-Trails and other apps will not give you road and trail conditions so please use some common sense. As with all slot canyons, never enter after or during rain, or if rain threatens, or during snowmelt. Rain can travel into a slot canyon from 100-miles away in some slot canyons, so please be cautious. Always pay attention to road signs in Utah, if the sign says 4x4, or Road Impassible When Wet, you can be sure they put that sign there for a reason, and that UDOT is far wiser than Google on such subjects. As you can see from the folks in this canyon, this is an easy slot to do, and most people who can hike, bend, and scramble should be able to do it regardless of age.
