Über Skint Dad
Skint Dad exists to help people spend less, stress less, and feel more in control of their money when things feel tight. We keep everything free, simple, and easy to understand, because money help should be there when people need it most.
But running Skint Dad is not free. The site takes time, hosting, tools, and long hours behind the scenes to research, write, and keep information up to date.
Skint Dad started in 2013 when money was tight for us, and we needed simple ways to make it last. We began sharing what worked in our own home, hoping it would help others going through the same worries.
Since then, it has grown into one of the UK’s most trusted places for clear, real-life money advice. No judgement. No jargon. Just practical help people can actually use.
People come to Skint Dad for help cutting bills, spending less at the supermarket, and finding ways to bring in a bit of extra money. We explain things clearly so anyone can take action straight away.
We also send a daily email, the Skint List, with quick money-saving tips and small wins to help people feel more in control of their money.
If Skint Dad has helped you save money, avoid a mistake, or feel less alone with money worries, you can support the site with a small contribution.
We call it “buying us a coffee”, but it simply helps cover the costs of running Skint Dad, keeping the advice free, up to date, and independent.
Thank you for being here and supporting Skint Dad. It genuinely helps us keep doing what we do.
