As of 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, 29 October, 2,294,275 Georgians had voted early in person. The full 2022 midterm early in-person total stood at 2,289,951. An additional 108,251 absentee-by-mail ballots had been accepted by the same time. Overall turnout as a percentage of active voters remains on pace with 2022 levels when mail ballots are included.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger attributed the high participation to public confidence in the process and the work of county election officials. “Georgians continue to head to the polls in record numbers because they trust the system,” he said. “This record-breaking in-person early voting turnout wouldn’t be possible without our county elections officials who work every day to ensure our elections are free, fair, and fast.”

Early voting continues through Friday, 30 October. On Election Day, polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters can locate early voting sites, hours, and Election Day polling places through the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page. Current turnout figures are updated on the state’s Election Data Hub.
