Simply Oldies Radio was created from a love of music, memories and one very special person.

The station was founded by Ryan Schofield, a passionate radio enthusiast and broadcaster with a lifelong love of music and radio. Ryan created Simply Oldies Radio as more than just an online radio station — he wanted to build a place where people could come together through the songs and memories that have shaped their lives.

The station was launched in November 2025 as a heartfelt tribute to Ryan’s grandfather, Ken Halliwell, who played an enormous part in Ryan’s life. Ken loved timeless music, and creating Simply Oldies Radio was Ryan’s way of keeping his grandfather’s love of music alive while celebrating the songs, artists and memories that mean so much to so many people.

Today, we've streamlined our musical focus to mostly the 70s, 80s and 90s — bringing you the unforgettable hits, classic anthems and songs that defined some of the greatest decades in music.

Behind Simply Oldies Radio is a dedicated team who give their time and effort to keep the station running. But, like any online radio station, keeping the music playing costs money.
