COVID Wars - The World Resets (Audio Book)

This recording is done by me from a story I wrote during the first Covid pandemic lockdown in New Zealand in 2020. It was published in January 2021 on my blog at https://unclas.com and is set in an alternative future where civil society is breaking down due to the pandemic. The story takes place in a United Nations Stabilisation Force Forward Operating Base (Can't tell you where - you'll have to listen to the story for that!) that is manned by an infantry platoon from New Zealand. The main character, Second Lieutenant Anna Stewart, is an inexperienced young officer in command of a diverse bunch of soldiers who have several deployments under their belt. She learns by trial and error, and with the help of her platoon sergeant, how to handle the vast range of situations she is confronted with. As much as this is a work of fiction, I also intended it to be useful as a teaching tool for junior soldiers who can discuss the various events and decisions that occur and put forward their ideas about what was done well and what they would have done differently. This audio book is also done with veterans who have vision problems in mind. They should be able to enjoy stories that they can relate to. I realise that I won't be making a living as voice talent for Hollywood but I'm told that the authenticity of being able to listen to the author (as opposed to a paid voice actor) is appreciated by many.
