❓Bruises or Mold? How to find the difference?
First of all, bruising is not contamination!
Bruising is a result of mechanical impact, when cell walls of mycelium or mushroom tissue are damaged and contact with oxygen. Such mushroom reaction can appear on mycelium and on fruit bodies. Blue color, blue-green or even black bruises is one of the signs of magic mushrooms.
Bruised mushrooms right after harvesting is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about.
Newbie growers usually confused Mycelium bruises with green mold Trichoderma and blue-green mold Penicillium
