About Sherry Elaine Pevey
Delivering faith-based encouragement & soul care for Christian women.
Hi, I'm Sherry Elaine – and I’m passionate about supporting and encouraging women to live a life close to God.
Each month, I spend 8–12 hours studying Scripture and spiritual formation resources so I can share the “gems” I uncover in short, 15-minute-or-less episodes on my Faith & Soul Care with Sherry Elaine podcast and on the Gospel Life Learning blog.
I also facilitate free Faith & Soul Care connection groups for women at least five times a year. These online gatherings offer spiritual encouragement, emotional support, and community.
While my ministry is open to all, it has become a soft place to land especially for midlife women who are unchurched, in between churches, or who don’t feel fully safe, accepted, or included in their local women’s groups.
By profession, I’ve served as a school psychologist for over 25 years, helping children and families with emotional, behavioral, and learning needs. I hold a specialist-level master’s degree in school psychology and am licensed in Texas.
I also have advanced professional education in Family Systems, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Positive Psychology, which I integrate into my ministry work when helpful.
Biblically, I’ve completed graduate-level training in Biblical Languages and Biblical Backgrounds from NOBTS and am nearing completion of a second master’s degree in Christian Studies from the University of the Cumberlands.
If my work has encouraged you—or if you’d like to support these free spiritual resources and groups—you can “buy me a coffee” right here. Your support helps me continue creating content, leading groups, and offering a safe space for women to grow closer to God.
