À propos Shantymen of Devon
Support an encouragement for Sea Shanty Singers an Shanty crews crews.
A Passion and a Mission to encourage the singing of sea shanties.
Information, photos and videos of Sea Shanty groups, singers and sea shanty events. Based in Devon, England with strong international links to Cornwall, Kernow and Europe. We have members in USA, Canada and Australia.
Historical, cultural and traditional emphasis where possible but also with the great ever changing influences of everyday life thrown in.
Started off with local information but has morphed into a shanty network group for all those involved and into the singing of sea shanty songs. Linking up with the great Pirate Brethren of the Northern Hemisphere and just simply LIVING MARITIME HISTORY.
