Creating has always been a deep passion for me, whether through drawing, painting, or crafts. However, it wasn’t until my thirteenth year of teaching, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that I truly found my artistic stride. I was working from home, searching for an outlet, and discovered myself in the joy of painting abstract and vibrant colors. That joy fueled my desire to share my work, leading to my first prints being sold at a local business in Biltmore Village and eventually displaying originals and prints at The Marquee in Asheville’s River Arts District.

The response was overwhelming, filling me with gratitude. But in 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated Asheville, sweeping through both the Swannanoa and French Broad Rivers, destroying much of my work—my prints, originals, and framed pieces, all lost in the floods.

This was a heartbreaking blow, but I’m determined to rise again. Now, I’m starting anew, but I need help to replenish my supplies—canvases, frames, prints—to keep creating the art that I love and that resonates with so many. Any support would be a tremendous gift as I rebuild.
