I have just set up a website to review public services related to services provided to and for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the UK.
This for the first time gives parents and carers a real voice which is not filtered. The hope is that this website highlights the areas which are doing great but equally shines a light on the areas that are not great and who really need to improve.
The idea is that it is helpful and constructive.
Setting it up was not free and making sure that it's safe and doesn't 'name' anyone unfairly or inappropriately is going to take some close monitoring. I may need a coffee and so would certainly appreciate one, but you don't have to buy me a coffee! (actually I gave up coffee and only drink tea). I know that many parents and carers are already in dire financial circumstances and for those people I don't want anything just their review!
